1. What this service is

Endorsements (endorsements.app) is a platform for writing, receiving, and displaying professional endorsements between verified individuals. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must sign in with a LinkedIn account. You represent that the information in your LinkedIn profile is accurate and that you are authorized to use that account. You may optionally connect a GitHub account for additional profile enrichment.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

3. Endorsements

Endorsements must be professional, positive, specific, and truthful. You may not use the service to:

  • Post sarcastic, negative, or harassing content.
  • Endorse yourself under any circumstances.
  • Post endorsements for people you have not actually worked with.
  • Fabricate or exaggerate claims about someone's skills or contributions.
  • Coordinate fake endorsements (quid-pro-quo rings, paid endorsements, etc.).

All endorsements pass through an AI validation agent before publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove any endorsement that violates these rules, even if the agent initially approved it.

4. Recipient control

Endorsement recipients must accept an endorsement before it appears on their public profile. Recipients may decline any endorsement for any reason. Declined endorsements are permanently hidden and cannot be recovered.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of the endorsement text you write. By posting an endorsement, you grant Endorsements a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and sublicense that content as part of the service (including the MCP validation endpoint). This license ends when the endorsement is deleted.

6. AI-assisted drafting

The endorsement chat assistant uses a large language model (currently provided by Anthropic) to help you draft endorsements. The assistant may tighten your phrasing but will not invent facts. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming the final text before submission.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse protections, or the AI agent.
  • Scrape profiles or endorsements in bulk.
  • Use the service for any purpose that is illegal or violates another person's rights.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional identity.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your profile and all endorsements you've written will be removed.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the AI agent will catch every policy violation, that endorsements are factually accurate, or that the service will be available without interruption.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Endorsements and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
